L.A. union members, activists to caravan to Arizona to protest immigration law - latimes.com

L.A. union members, activists to caravan to Arizona to protest immigration law - latimes.com

"As a judge weighs whether to halt Arizona's controversial immigration law
( Judge Bolton did strike down the most important sections of SB1070 on Wed.,July 28th), hundreds of Los Angeles City/County union members and activists are planning a bus caravan to Phoenix on Thursday — the day the law is set to take effect."

"More than 550 people plan to ride on 11 buses to Arizona to stage a protest and launch a partnership with Arizona groups to boost voter registration. During the one-day trip, sponsored by the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, participants will meet with Phoenix Police Chief Jack Harris, march to the state Capitol and hold a vigil. The participants represent 32 unions."

MY COMMENTS:

I am an LA County property owner who pays taxes to the County. I also support AZ and SB 1070. My taxes(and the taxpayers of LA & CA) are paying the wages of LA County Public employee unions who are sponsoring & funding ARIZONA bus trips for pro-illegal alien and anti-SB 1070 activists. I cannot nor will not abide this and will not pay any more taxes to LA County. I therefore will withhold or delay as long as possible property tax payments to The LA County Assessors Office, as a protest against LA County for allowing their public employee union members to engage in political actions which i oppose vehemently. This letter will be transmitted all over the internet via my blogsite, twitter and facebook, and sent to pertinent CA Government agencies and officials.

The ongoing ghettoization of my home city of Long beach

Yesterday, I drove thru my home city of long beach right down central/east section along Cherry ave. Cherry ave has become very ghettoized/latinoized. There are now dozens and dozens of latino immigrant-owned shops along a 2-mile stretch of Cherry, from Mex ranch market to panderas shop. And yes cherry ave has become a typical latinoized/ghettoized street like 1000's all over LA. BTW the LB ghetto starts at western edge of LB at LA river/710 freeway) and spreads east all way to past Redondo Ave.

As far as i know LB is not an 'official' sanctuary city harboring illegals, but i know that LBPD will not ask for immigration status of illegals they pull over or detain on the streets. Their policy mirrors LA.

L.A to give people living in cars on Venice-area streets overnight parking

L.A to give people living in cars on Venice-area streets 'safe overnight parking' | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times

LA city ready to allow overnight parking for folks living in cars and RV's in supposedly upscale Venice Beach. City is also looking for a social services provider to provide needed social services to the displaced homeless Venice Folks living out of their vehicles.

Venice was till recently seen as a burgeoning upscale beach front trendy hip community, a favorite haunt of LA artists involved in the movie industry, and as very hip and offbeat. Now we have this small but growing population of Venice homeless living out of their cars and RV's. Who would have guessed! When the average price of homes in VB was till recently near 1 million, no wonder some area residents who may have lost jobs or fell thru the economic roof have been turned out in the streets, or in VB's case, in their vehicles.
A sign of our tough economic times? I have seen folks in tidy suburban Orange County - not transient urchins but decent former middle-class suburbanites such as boomer-aged moms - digging thru garbage bins at OC state beaches, fishing for aluminum cans in order to survive.

Anyway , we have Venice Beach, long thought to be a hip upscale tourist trap, becoming swamped by homeless folks living out of their vehicles. Needless to say the area's residents are not too happy about it, seeing these folks as not down and out but as area nuisances. I cannot judge this as all of us can take an unfortunate economic turn and be cast out on the streets, or have to find refuge in living with friends or relatives.

These are bad economic times, and even along CA's upscale beach communities there are impoverished homeless and folks struggling to survive. These are mostly former middle-class suburbanites, mostly white and many of them aging boomers, perhaps with disabilities, unable to return to work in this badly depressed economy, or unable to afford beach-area housing prices if they do find work at reduced wages.

Inland Empire residents sharply divided over illegal immig in rapidly changing region

Inland residents sharply divided over anti-illegal immigration measures amid demographic changes in area | Inland News | PE.com | Southern California News | News for Inland Southern California
The above link is a long look at divergent views on illegal immigration & Arizona's crackdown from the rapidly changing Inland Empire(Southern California), which is the western settled portions of Riverside and San Bernardino counties. I exclude the high and low desert communities in my commentary because they are a whole new subject.

My own comments:

The IE has gone thru rapid changes since yr 2000. This region is marked by rapid growth and decline, wrenching economic/demographics shifts, stark unforgiving landscape, tottering RE values, impoverished districts, foreclosed blighted properties, ect. The landscape is generally harsh, brown, dry, scorched, and barren 8-9 months of year, and the former pleasant shady orange groves and irrigated green pastures of the past have all been bulldozed into endless IE malls and cookie-cutter housing tracts, many of which have become foreclosed or shuttered.

IE was for a long time conservative and Republican, a region where mostly white city dwellers of LA & OC fled the crowded SoCal coast to find cheaper & larger IE homes on ample rural lots. They were the earlier settlers of the mostly rural, rustic IE back in 60's to 80's. Lots of retirees fled to the IE as well to live in cheaper retirement homes & trailers in places like Hemet and Lake Elsinore.

Beginning in the first decade of the 21st century came waves of immigrants & other minorities, who purchased cheap IE homes during the great IE real estate(RE)boom of this decade. The minorities included immigrant illegals, who despite their illegality were able to obtain low-cost scam RE loans to buy IE RE . Then the boom went bust in late 2000's and RE values plummeted. IE collapsed both in RE and economically, and the IE became basically a dead zone. The illegals and legal immigrants became a surplus population as the Unemployment rate(UE)went up to 15-20%. That's the 'official' rate : real U-6 UE is likely close to 30% in most parts of IE.

Now we are here in mid-2010 and the IE is still A RE dead zone and economically shattered : more so than rest of CA and USA because IE depended upon only 2-3 industries and one of those, building & construction, has become completely devastated during this great recession/near depression.
The UE illegals/green carders in the IE are now a surplus population and a welfare burden. I have seen the devastation of the IE caused by large influxes of illegals in Hemet, Riverside, lake Elsinore, Rubidoux, Corona, Rialto, Highland, Colton, inner San berdardino City, Ontario, and a dozen other IE communities. The illegals/ green carders brought homes, then abandoned them when their mortgages payments went up due to so-called teaser loans, leaving abundant foreclosed Properties in their wake.

The illegals were swept and caught up in the wake of this devastating depression along with the older native long-time IE inhabitants. Now, they are competing with the IE's older established citizens for the few available lower-level wage jobs, and the natives are none to happy about it. Thus we see 5 IE cities(and counting)voting for rule of law resolutions (ROL) in support of AZ. In short, the original IE denizens are none to happy about these illegals competing with them for lower-wage jobs in a depression economy.

Fleeing Phoenix out of fear of immigration law

I just posted a reply to this LA Times knee-jerk article about the sufferings of local AZ businesses, due to Arizona's enforcement of FED LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS against illegal immigration. Look for the byline DEGOBOY

Fleeing Phoenix out of fear of immigration law

Removing illegals from a state or neighborhood would not have much effect upon the already battered dismal economy. Arizona's UE rate matches or exceeds the 9.7% nationwide UE rate, and the states economy was already being shattered by plummeting RE values way before SB 1070 took effect.

Here in CA the economy went into recession starting in late 2007 and really nosedived in Sept/Oct 2008. CA has 3 million illegals and likely 10-15 million legalized green card immigrants. Having this huge population of immigrants did not prevent CA from having a 12.7 % UE rate(Real U-6 UE rate is 20-25%) or having plummeting RE values. The economy tanked regardless of CA's large 'industrious' immigrant population.

Removing large numbers of illegals from any given ghettoized LA hood heavily impacted by illegals, such as lennox, Wilmington, Maywood, Jefferson park, Pico-Union, Rampart, Boyle Hts, ect. would not effect these already severely blighted hoods one bit.

Yes, some local businesses which set up in these hoods will suffer and even close but so what! We are seeing a nationwide epidemic of business bankrupties due to this severe recession. LA Times tear-jerking article about local shops being effected by Arizona's SB 1070 seems to be a case of special pleading against enforcing our Federal & State immigration laws.

Deporting Illegals- a look back at 1954 operation wetback, when we had in President Eisenhower a real American patriot

Deporting Illegal Immigrants

operation wetback in 1954. Comprehensive article

I am posting this article, written by a person( not me) who was old enough to relate the actions President Eisenhower took in 1954 to alleviate the plight of UE US citizens and UE armed forces servicemen. This would be unthinkable today in our politically correct, sensitized culture dominated by left-wing appeasers bowing to the sensitivities of minorities and immigrants.

Here is that article, posted entire, line for line:

"Pardon me, but if I hear one more time that we can’t deport 12 million illegal aliens I’m headed for the backyard to howl at the moon. Is the American memory so short that we’ve already forgotten the 1950s? This writer is old enough to remember very clearly the mass deportation of illegal aliens that occurred in 1954 in what was officially termed “Operation Wetback” (prior to the age of political correctness)."

"Anyone living in Southern California then, even a kid like me, couldn’t help but take notice of the operation that sent upwards of two million illegal aliens from all across the Southwest home to Mexico. It was done swiftly and cheaply by a relatively small force, proving that arguments we hear today about such an operation being logistically impossible are nothing more than a mask concealing a lack of political will."

"By the end of World War II, there were some two million illegal aliens living in California, Arizona, and Texas. U.S. citizens in those states began complaining that the Mexican illegals undercut the workingman’s wages, committed crimes, caused a general deterioration of the communities they lived in, gave birth to children at county expense, and sent older children to local schools — crowding classrooms and breaking school district budgets. It took years for the complaints of U.S. citizens to gain any traction."

"There was already an unholy alliance of agribusiness and other employers of unskilled labor and Congressmen. Corporate farmers and other business interests argued that the work performed by illegal aliens was desperately needed. However, several studies, including one conducted by the President’s Commission on Migratory Labor in Texas, demonstrated that if employers paid standard American wages there would be plenty of Americans able and willing to take the jobs. In the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, for example, where tens of thousands of illegal aliens were employed, wages were half that paid in other parts of Texas for the same agricultural jobs. Lyndon Johnson, a Congressman from Texas at the time, first as a Representative and later as a Senator, fought vigorously against measures aimed at illegal aliens and was said to have been in the hip pocket of agribusiness. He was not alone. While American citizens throughout the Southwest complained about the presence of illegal aliens in their communities, Congress was generally unresponsive. Agribusiness had well-paid lobbyists and influence peddlers by the dozen. American citizens suffering from illegal aliens had no such advocates."

"Swingin’ for the Border Fence
With such a background, it is not surprising that Swing provided aggressive leadership as Commissioner of the INS, reorganizing the service and appointing fellow retired generals to key posts. Corrupt and powerful Congressmen, such as Senator Lyndon Johnson of Texas who served the interests of corporate agribusiness and had been able to frustrate the efforts of the Border Patrol, now found themselves facing a new kind of Commissioner in Swing. Moreover, Swing had the full support of President Eisenhower. Disregarding political pressure from Johnson and other such Congressmen, Swing quickly formulated a plan for the apprehension and deportation of illegal aliens, naming it Operation Wetback. On D-day, June 17, 1954, Swing sent 750 of his Border Patrol agents into the field to begin a sweep through Arizona and California. Within a month, Jumpin’ Joe’s boys had taken more than 50,000 illegal aliens into custody — and half a million more, fearing arrest, had self-deported."

"During the second half of July, teams of agents were sweeping through Utah, Nevada, and Idaho. They also went into Texas, targeting especially the Rio Grande Valley. Starting at the valley’s southern end and supported by local law enforcement, Border Patrol agents moved northward. On the first day of the sweep, July 15, they took nearly 5,000 illegal aliens into custody. Although not many more than 700 agents were in the field, Border Patrol officials exaggerated the numbers to frighten illegal aliens to flee south of the border. Newspaper editorials, hostile to the operation and in support of corporate interests, also exaggerated the numbers of agents to give the impression that a federal invading army had descended upon the valley. Whether from these exaggerated reports or from actual arrests of illegal aliens, the “wetbacks” of the valley were crossing the border back into Mexico on their own by the thousands each day. The process of self-deportation, demonstrated daily in large numbers during Operation Wetback, is left unmentioned by those who argue that mass deportation of illegal aliens is logistically impossible."

"Those taken into custody by the Border Patrol — about 1,100 a day after big numbers during the first week — were transported across the border in trucks and buses and then put on trains bound for Durango. The United States wanted the illegal aliens shipped deep into Mexico to discourage re-entry. They were also taken to Port Isabel, Texas, and put aboard ships such as Emancipation, which then sailed them to Veracruz, 500 miles to the south. Transportation by sea continued until seven illegal aliens jumped off Mercurio in an escape attempt and drowned. Since the United States depended upon the cooperation of the Mexican government in sending illegal aliens deep into Mexico’s interior, protests from Mexico over the drownings caused the United States to end waterborne deportations."

"By the end of September, the INS estimated that nearly 100,000 illegal aliens had been taken into custody in Texas and deported and that another 700,000 or so self-deported. Adding those to the numbers of illegal aliens deported or self-deported from Arizona and California, and still more from Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, means that in a few months of aggressive patrolling Jumpin’ Joe’s agents had directly or indirectly sent more than 1.3 million illegal aliens back to Mexico. Moreover, Swing had accomplished this with not many more than 700 agents in the field at any one time and limited funding. What he did have in abundance was the determination and will to enforce the law. For the rest of Swing’s tenure as Commissioner, which ended in 1961, illegal border crossings were down 95 percent. The aggressive and common-sensical approach in policing the border that Jumpin’ Joe established continued to have a salutary effect on border conditions until the mid-1960s when the rate of illegal crossings began increasing dramatically. There were many reasons for the sudden increase, but it’s beyond coincidental that by that time Lyndon Johnson had become President."

"During his years as Commissioner, Swing came in for criticism from all the likely sources, including Congressmen who were connected hip-to-hip with agribusiness and other employers of cheap (to the employers only) Mexican labor. Swing, who had “a hair trigger temper” but also a great sense of humor, did not suffer fools or corrupt politicians gladly and simply responded matter-of-factly, and thus politically incorrectly, to the problems caused by the presence of illegal aliens and slack border security. He also liked to emphasize that while special interests might have a problem with him, the great majority of American people wholeheartedly supported Operation Wetback and his strict border policies. Also, supporting Swing was the American G.I. Forum, an organization of Mexican-American military veterans. Together with the Texas State Federation of Labor, the G.I. Forum published What Price Wetbacks?, a study which demonstrated that not only did illegal aliens undercut wages and displace American workers but that the de facto open-border policy of past years was a threat to the security of the United States. Most members of Congress also supported Swing, voting in 1958 to increase his salary as Commissioner of the INS from $17,500 a year to $20,000."

"Homeland Hindrances
What Swing did in 1954, we could do today — if we had the political will. Retired Border Patrol agent Walt Edwards, who participated in the sweep through the Southwest in 1954, declared in 2006, “Some say we cannot send 12 million illegals now in the United States back where they came from. Of course we can!” Edwards also noted, “When we start enforcing the law, these various businesses are, on their own, going to replace their [illegal] workforce with a legal workforce.” Donald Coppock, who was also with the Border Patrol during the 1950s and led it from 1960 to 1973, said that if Eisenhower were President and Swing Commissioner today, they’d seal the border and deport illegal aliens “in a minute.”

"Another Operation Wetback, though, would also require the abolition of a little-known but byzantine and powerful agency within the Department of Justice formally termed the Executive Office for Immigration Review and commonly referred to as the EOIR. The agency was created in 1983 through an internal DOJ reorganization, essentially establishing Immigration Courts independent of the INS. Since then immigration attorneys on behalf of their clients have flooded the EOIR with endless paperwork, postponements, and appeals, which can drag what should be a quick and incontestable deportation into years of delays. Moreover, Immigration Court decisions can be appealed to the Board of Immigration Appeals and decisions of the BIA can be appealed to a federal circuit appellate court. Summary deportation that prevailed in 1954 has been replaced by infinite immigration litigation. During these proceedings most illegal aliens are released on an immigration bond. If an illegal alien sees that his case is going badly and he will be ordered deported, he simply fails to appear for his final hearing. There are more than 300,000 illegal aliens in such a status."

"in its report, The Deportation Abyss: It Ain’t Over ’Til the Alien Wins, the Center for Immigration Studies reports:

Between the incompetence of the INS [now ICE], the complete lack of alien detention center space, and the bureaucracy of the EOIR, our system for deporting known illegal aliens and criminal alien residents is a sad joke. But no one is laughing."

"If all of the illegal aliens and deportable resident alien criminals were rounded up tomorrow, the system would not be capable of handling them. It would be an absolute disaster. The INS and EOIR wouldn’t have the foggiest idea of what to do with them! The aliens would all be released back out on the street on immigration bonds and go back right where they were as if nothing happened, while their cases would grind on through the system of Immigration Court hearings and endless appeals."

"The creation of the EOIR, like the creation of most federal bureaucracies, in turn spawned an entire industry. There are now thousands of attorneys who specialize in immigration law. They are represented by their own lobbying group, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Meanwhile, the EOIR employs more than 200 immigration judges, all pulling down six-figure salaries and enjoying generous federal benefits, a far cry from Commissioner Swing’s top salary of $20,000."

"We got ourselves into this mess and we can get ourselves out of it. However, to do so it will take bold, decisive, and forceful leaders the caliber of Lt. Gen. Joseph Swing — that is if America still produces such men."

Video of concrete company caught using illegals on major constructiion site . General contractor is Whiting Turner

Here is a damming video of Forcine Concrete Subcontractors caught on tape using illegal laborers on Penn major construction site. None of the illegals speak one word of English, and many do not have personal identification nor tax ID numbers so they and the Subcontractor are likely evading taxes as well. General contractor is Whiting Turner, a large national construction firm which i have delivered to on major construction sites all over Southern Clownifornia.

Breitbart.tv » Hidden Cameras Show Illegal-Immigrants Streaming Across AZ Border

The hidden camera footage, acquired from a variety of sources, indicates that there is an unfortunate lack of federal law enforcement presence on Arizona's federal land on the border in Nogales, in the Coronado National Forest (15 miles inside the border), and the Casa Grande Sector (80 miles inside the border).
Looking at map of Aizona: it is obvious that the 1/2 dozen or so sectors comprising the Coronado National Forest are enticing avenues for the illegals and drug mules, as these forests are rugged and forested, making for ideal cover and easier to penetrate and pass thru by large groups of illegals than the drier more open desert regions in western Arizona. Where the hell is the border patrol!

Judicial Watch Joins AZ Legal Battle! | Judicial Watch

Judicial Watch Joins AZ Legal Battle! | Judicial Watch

I have posted a statement from JW, edited for brevity, on their Motion to intervene(MTI). I was a keen follower and contributor of their organization back in the late 90's when they were acting as watchdog and legal combatant against the corrupt, scandal-tainted Clinton administration. Judicial Watch is one of the best conservative-oriented legal organizations in America, and a precious counterweight to the legions of Dem/leftist activist attorneys in the Obama Administration.

Here is the JW MTI:

"This week, Judicial Watch initiated perhaps the most important piece of litigation in its 16-year history...

"On Thursday, we filed a “Motion to Intervene” on behalf of Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce, author of Arizona’s new illegal immigration law SB 1070, in the Obama Justice Department lawsuit challenging the law, which is set to take effect on July 29.."
"So why is the Obama White House so desperate to kill this law? Because Obama knows if this law is allowed to stand, other states will follow Arizona’s lead. (In fact, a few states have already gotten a head start.) The federal government must then assume its constitutional responsibility to secure the border and enforce the law. And that is something President Obama is loath to do....

"So here we are, alongside Senator Pearce, head to head against the Obama White House in the nation’s most controversial, most heated and most significant legal battle. Here’s an excerpt from our court filing explaining why Judicial Watch is representing Senator Pearce....who was the chief sponsor of SB 1070 and voted in favor of its passage. Senator Pearce’s efforts came to fruition when Governor Brewer signed SB 1070 and HB 2762 into law. As the author and driving force behind the enactment of SB 1070, Senator Pearce has the right to defend it..."

"And here’s a statement from Senator Pearce explaining why he is undertaking this fight with Judicial Watch:

The purpose of SB 1070 is to protect the citizens of Arizona from the devastating and deadly impact of rampant illegal immigration. And it is outrageous that the Obama administration would attack Arizona for simply protecting its own citizens, especially when it has failed so miserably to do its constitutional duty and secure the border. This is a legal battle of epic proportions. As a Senator in a state on the frontlines, I see firsthand the damage being done to our state and our country. What happens here in Arizona will impact every state in the country interested in protecting its citizens by enforcing the rule of law. We are a nation of laws. We must have the courage — the fortitude — to enforce, with compassion but without apology, those laws that protect the integrity of our borders and the rights of our lawful citizens..."

"Look, here’s the bottom line: This is a fight between those who want to enforce the law and those who do not. We are proud to stand with Arizona State Sen. Pearce, Governor Brewer and the citizens of Arizona in support of the rule of law...
Most Americans stand with rule of law on the issue of illegal immigration enforcement..."

"The legal battle is on, and this is a fight we can win."

Southern California cities which support Arizona and SB 1070 #2

<

Updated list of 13 SoCal cities supporting Arizona are marked by yellow pins. Below is interactive google map to zoom in and get more info on these cities.(note: Costa Mesa Pin is faded but is located between RSM and City of Orange)

So far I count thirteen Southern California cities in five counties, which have passed resolutions supporting Arizona and SB 1070 and/or passed Rule of law Resolutions. I put down estimated population next to each city, based on latest available stats.

In Riverside County:
Hemet(75,000)
lake Elsinore(50,000)
Menifee(78,000)
temecula(102,000)

Canyon lake(13,000)
Norco(52,000)

In Orange County:
Costa Mesa(116,000)
City of Orange(141,000)
Yorba Linda(80,000)
Rancho Santa Margarita(49,000)

In LA County:
Lancaster 141,000

in San Bernardino County:
Highland-52,000

In San Diego County:
Escondito- 128,000

These cities vary in population, economic/industrial strength, demographic makeup, and income/affluence levels; from the relatively affluent such as Yorba Linda and RSM:to medium income/affuence range(Orange,Costa Mesa,Temecula: to a relatively lower range of income levels (lancaster, Hemet, Menifee, lake Elsinore). The last named cities all have been severely hard-hit from the nearly 3-yr ongoing great recession, with high unemployment and greatly fallen RE values.

Updated list; I just added Highland, Escondito,Canyon lake, and Norco to the list to make it a total of 13 CA cities(and counting)supporting AZ and SB1070. By end of year I expect at least 10 more SoCal cities to join these 13.

likely candidates:
Palmdale, Santa Clarita,Perris,Rancho Mirage,Murrieta,Redlands,coachella, Yucapia, Colton,Chino/Chino hills,Victorville, Hesperia,Newhall,Saugus,lake forest, San Juan Capistrano,San Clemente

I am hoping that more SCal cities join in supporting Arizona's stand against illegal immigration. The city councils of any city contemplating ROL resolutions and/or supporting Arizona SB 1070 resolutions must brace for pro-illegal alien activists, often bussed in, who have a major presence here in SCal/ greater LA Region, due to our overwhelming latino immigrant population. I suspect that quite often the city councils and mayor of most SCal cities cringe at defying the loud, vociferous agitations of the illegal-alien activist groups, who are unfortunately well-funded by unions and immigrant rights attorneys, and encouraged by the CA leftist Politicians.

hurray for Lancaster voting to becoming 1st LA County city to pass ROL resolution

The AV News Lancaster City Council

Hurray for Lancaster for voting to become first LA County municipality to pass a rule of law resolution. Lancaster is in the high desert and located at farthest northern reaches of the great LA megalopolis. It is the northernmost large municipality in LA County. It has been particularly hit hard by this severe recession and the great RE meltdown, with foreclosures scattered all over this large spread-out desert sagebrush community.

I will later add more extensive postings regarding Lancaster's decision to become a rule of law city and why city leaders took this step. Also my personal views on lancaster, derived fron taking 100+ trips out there as a former logistics transport driver.

A short quick closing comment about lancaster. There is lots of vast empty space out there, with large lots and many isolated homesteads sited way off the beaten path. There is a spirit of rugged 'desert rat' individualty in lancaster, akin to Arizona's open empty desert spaces, which breeds tough folks who do not like freeloaders and parasitic government welfare grovelers, though lancaster has its share of them in the more densely populated central city areas. Maybe that's why lancaster voted to pass the ROL resolution and to show support for Arizona.

Political battleground guide leading up to Nov midterms

Here is a brief mid-year review of events, and a political battleground road map leading up to Nov mid-terms elections:

We are in an extremely bad recession/near depression and yet we have a radical far-left Obama adm determined to advance rights of illegal-alien invaders at expense of American citizens, many of whom are unemployed and hurting badly in this severe recession. Obama and his radicalized leftist administrations only concerned is about election results, and they are desperate for the Hispanic votes.

They are pursuing policies who's only objective is to stir up and engage minority voters. They know that this November they may lose the house and possibly 7-10 senate seat to republicans, and all their actions are focused upon stirring up the minority voters and pitting minorities against whites. It is a desperate ploy which goes against history which shows that the party in power always loses seats in congress at first midterm elections following a Presidential victory by either party.

This fall we will see a likely Republican majority in house, and a near even balance in the Senate. The average American folks see the radicalism of the Obama Presidency and are reacting to it negatively. The vast majority of Americans do not like extremism either to left or right and will redress the balance. They see the radicalism/ far leftist tilt of the Obama adm as displayed by the ramming of the National health care, favoritism toward illegals as exemplified by the lawsuit against Arizona, the radical white-hating agenda of the U.S. Justice Dept, the catering to minorities, Obamas's ruling in favor of a Muslim mosque at ground zero, pursuit of a green agenda even if if kills jobs, the appointments of radical leftist minority politicians like Hilda Solis, Thomas E. Perez, and Jules Fernandes to posts in the administration.

Make no mistake, the radical far-left appointees of Obama and the Democratic national/state party operatives will wage a scorched-earth policy and skirt any law they can get away with in order to maintain power. I saw plenty of that during the Clinton Adm, especially in the Bush-Gore presidential election campaign of 2000. The Dem party operatives have no rules, just a policy that anything goes and any and all dirty campaign tricks are possible and allowable within the limits of what they can get away with within the law.

Actually the Obama Adm is not as brazenly corrupt as the Clinton Adm but has more racial/radical zealots, extremists driven by race-based ideology- an ideology which views White Europeans, including here in U.S, as the cause of all world problems: basically a view similar to the third world distrust and anger at European/White influence in global affairs.

CA legislature proposes to ban ' open carry' gun rights- a gift to LA 's vast criminal populaton, illegals, and gangbangers

Bring-your-gun-to-the-beach day in Hermosa Beach | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times

"More than a dozen people packing pistols on their hips strolled down the Hermosa Beach strand Saturday, picking up garbage and distributing fliers about the rights of gun owners."....
"The event was part of a burgeoning and controversial "open carry" movement nationwide promoting the right to carry guns in public. Although carrying a concealed weapon is illegal without a permit, California allows people to openly carry guns in many areas as long as they are unloaded, though they can keep ammunition with them."....
"A bill by Assemblywoman Lori Saldaña (D-San Diego) would, with some exceptions, prohibit civilians from openly carrying handguns. The legislation, which was approved by the Assembly but still needs to pass the Senate, has won backing from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the California Police Chiefs Assn."

Here is my message to the socialist idiots in CA legislature and Saldana. Every illegal gang banger, numerous gang associations, and other assorted LA hoodlums pack heat. LA streets are overrun at night by armed cruisers driven by illegal alien gang-banging thugs and their law-breaking scumbag anchors.

Of course the LA sheriffs and many police agencies want to take away guns from civilians, so they and their fascist/commie control freaks In Sacto can have a gun- free society and further impose a totalitarian regime upon law-biding citizens.

Meanwhile, the illegal alien felons are free to run around in the vast LA underground economy using fake ID docs, and thus obtain weapons freely from the numerous drug cartel syndicates infesting LA. All this a byproduct of our open borders policy which allows every criminal illegal-alien thug to just crawl right across our borders, thanks to the same liberal pro-illegal alien apologists who at same time want to take away citizens rights to carry arms in public and defend themselves.

Illegal alien wars -my own perpective- part 3

I have been in this battle against illegal immigration since before 2000. I date my anti-illegal stance to the great late George Putnam, the legendary patriotic journalist who aired 2 hrs during lunch on AM 870 in late 90's. He was my inspiration and nourishment in my conversion to a decided anti-illegel stance.

One of George's frequent guests was a fiery, outspoken LA South- Central resident named Terry Anderson who just recently passed away, a sad loss for the anti-illegal immigation movement. Terry would rage against the effects of the illegal alien inundation upon South Central LA in no uncertain terms, how illegals were driving African-Americans out of the trades by lowering wages, and the complete trashing of SCentral by the invading illegals.

I used to listen regularly to George Putman weekdays on my car radio while i was doing my delivery duties in West LA in late 90's. He had very few listeners back then, as no one took illegal immigration very seriously during those generally prosperous pre-2000 years, and it was mostly an LA problem back then. George was actually a few years ahead of the curve and at a very advanced age(he was in his 80''s).
Note that entire USA did not really get on the anti-illegal bandwagon until the first recession of 2001-2003, and the anti-illegal immigration movement really picked up speed/ gained ground during this period. The influential John & Ken AM 640 talk radio show(2-7 weekdays), were among those who took up the cudgel.
( I sent them a dozen or so faxes/letters in 2003 to give them a prod).

George Putman passed away at age 94 on Sept 12, 2008, near his Chino hills ranch home. Very few in MSM took notice of the passing away of this legendary influential TV/radio journalist & newscaster, as he had become very conservative in his views in his later years, pretty much a reactionary, though he was in fact a lifelong Democrat. But If he was still alive today he would be a combative spokesman against the illegal invasion, would be in the thick of the battle, and his outspoken fiery, uncompromising stance combined with his weighty experience in world/US affairs would add an enormous asset to the anti-illegal-immigrant movement.

US Dept of Mis-Justice pushes minority rights even if it has to skirt a few laws

Who Will Investigate the Investigators? - WSJ.com

More mischief in our U.S. justice dept, the most radicalized leftist, corrupt dept in the Obama adm. A dept determined to advance minority rights even if it has to skirt a few laws or impede/drop civil rights violations, ignore voter intimidation tactics, or inflate voter rolls: all in the name of advancing certain aggrieved minority groups.

Here's the latest mischief from our so-called Dept of Justice. All direct quotes are from the article written by John Fund of Wall Street Journal:

"Associate Attorney General Thomas Perrelli, an Obama appointee, overruled a unanimous recommendation by six career Justice attorneys for continued prosecution of members of the New Black Panther Party on charges of voter intimidation in an incident I detailed here yesterday. But

Mr. Adams leveled an even more explosive charge beyond the Panther case. He testified that last year Deputy Assistant Attorney General Julie Fernandes made a jaw-dropping announcement to attorneys in Justice's Voting Rights section. She said she would not support any enforcement of a key section of the federal "Motor Voter" law -- Section 8, which requires states to periodically purge their voter rolls of dead people, felons, illegal voters and those who have moved out of state."....

"Not coincidally,Obama's Justice dept saw fit to dismiss the case in March 2009. Curiously, only a month earlier, Ms. Carnahan had announced her Senate candidacy. Missouri has a long and documented history of voter fraud in Democratic-leaning cities such as St. Louis and Kansas City. Ms. Carnahan may now stand to benefit from voter fraud facilitated by the improperly kept voter rolls that she herself allowed to continue."
"
"According to Mr. Adams, Justice lawyers were told by Ms. Fernandes: "We're not interested in those kind of cases. What do they have to do with helping increase minority access and turnout? We want to increase access to the ballot, not limit it.

"If true, Ms. Fernandes was endorsing a policy of ignoring federal law and encouraging potential voter fraud. Ms. Fernandes was unavailable for comment yesterday, but the Justice Department has issued a statement accusing Mr. Adams of "distorting facts" in general and having a political agenda.
"

So we have a US Dept of Justice which is aggressively pushing minority rights, even if it means inflating Missouri voter rolls via dead people, illegals, felons, ect., and aquitting black panther thugs who intimidated voters in Philly.

We already know that Asst Attorney Gen and head of US Justice's Civil Rights commission Thomas E. Perez, a radical pro-illegal attorney, is spearheading the Ariz lawsuit. Now we have this Ms Fernandez , another radical-leftist obama appointee, dismissing/ignoring Missouri voting irregularities.

The U.S. Dept of justice has become the most infiltrated, politicized, agenda-driven, radicalized, far-left U.S. Cabinet dept in the mainly far-left Obama Adm. It's only agenda is to advance the rights of minorities at expense of whites.

A crazy idea on dealing with Arizona border invasion

I have been looking at a Google map of Southern Arizona's border regions, and it seems that the entire western half of Arizona is largely empty open dry desert, and almost entirely enclosed by the Barry Goldwater Air Force Range, Cabeza Prieta Nat wildfife Refuge, Organ Pile Nat Monument, and Papago Indian Reservation. Why don't the US gov just incorporate Cabeza NWR into the BG Air Force Range, and move several AF test sites from CA or Nevada to this threatened region of Arizona. They can also allow US military to have rights of access to the large Papago Indian Reservation for patrolling and military exercises.

All this would entail massive bureaucratic moves involving multiple gov't agencies/
departments and military bureaus
,and would be politically impossible with the current leftist Obama administration. It can only be implimented by a Republican president with support of both houses of congress, a good possiblity in 2012. So don't hold your breath that these moves will be implimented anytime soon, if at all. This is only a blueprint/speculation for future actions on the secure borders front. Arizona cannot impliment the moves alone, and currently has little support from the Feds. Obama is a confirmed hard- line leftist and will thwart & block any strong moves toward stronger border security measures.

My overall rationale is why have military tests sites in remote CA and Nevada deserts when Arizona's desert would work just as well. As for the sacrifice of the Cabeza Nat Wildlife Refuge: if the Mex drug smugglers/illegal border crossers are trashing it anyway why keep the refuge designation. The Military can even allow it to remain as a wildlife refuge as they conduct ground/air joint exercises on it, like they do at Camp Pendleton. Organ pipe National monument would remain as is but be surrounded by our military, and perhaps they could even assist the US park service in patrol duties

That way the entire western half of Arizona's southern border becomes essentially one gigantic AF/joint forces exercise/testing range & base. With US military in effect controlling this area and using it for live fire exercises, the drug cartels/illegal border crossers would be unlikely to smuggle/ move thru this region.
That would free up our border agents to patrol and guard the eastern more threatened sector of Arizonas southern borders, which is roughly the area from Tucson all way to the New Mex border, and south of 10 freeway. The US could put up just a minimal fence along the western portion, as no Mex smuggler with any brains would attempt to cross a military live fire area. Just warn the Mex gov't and post signs that if any border crossers attempt a crossing they might be blown up by stray US missles. This would remove the pro-illegal activists and Mex gov from the equation. U.S. Military services do not as a rule allow for tenderness in dealing with trespassers onto military property.

The concentration of entire Arizona border contingent onto the more threatened & vulnerable eastern Arizona Sector would be best usage of limited border agent funding resources, and allow for more intense concentration there.

Court sides with Schwarzenegger on minimum wage - Yahoo! News

Court sides with Schwarzenegger on minimum wage - Yahoo! News

'SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A state appellate court on Friday sided with the Schwarzenegger administration in its attempt to temporarily impose the federal minimum wage on tens of thousands of state workers. It was not immediately clear how the ruling would affect Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's order a day earlier to pay 200,000 state workers the federal minimum of $7.25 an hour as the state wrestles with a budget crisis..

'The state controller, who cuts state paychecks, has refused to comply with the order. Friday's ruling affirms a lower-court decision in favor of the administration in a lawsuit filed two years ago after the governor's first attempt to impose the minimum wage. The latest ruling from the California 3rd District Court of Appeal in Sacramento concludes that state Controller John Chiang cannot ignore the minimum wage order from the state Department of Personnel Administration. It says "the DPA has the authority to direct the controller to defer salary payments in excess of federally mandated minimum wages when appropriations for the salaries are lacking due to a budget impasse....."

'But Chiang said in a news release that he interpreted the court ruling to mean that his office would not have to comply with the executive order if it was practically infeasible to do so. "I will move quickly to ask the courts to definitively resolve the issue of whether our current payroll system is capable of complying with the minimum wage order in a way that protects taxpayers from billions of dollars in fines and penalties," Chiang said in the statement.'

Chiang is a fr**kin liar for the State Public Unions: the states payroll system can indeed be updated fairly quickly and with minimum fuss. Chiang wants his corrupt PEU buddies in Sacto to be able to continue to steal and squeeze full pay and benefits from the CA bankrupt treasury, even if CA does not pass a budget, and even in face of the the worst economic downturn since the great depression.

My personal faxed reply to Obama's immigration speech

Here is my reply to President Obama's immigration speech of June 1st, 2010

The vast majority of Americans want to see our immigration laws enforced thru continued ICE Raids, a nationwide E-Verify law, and stronger border security, not legislation that provides blanket amnesty to those who have broken our laws. US economy is in a very severe recession with high unemployment. Lots of American citizens are out of work and need assistance. Providing amnesty to illegals is the wrong prescription in a near-depression economy with 17-20% REAL U-6 unemployment.

It is just plain wrong to allow amnesty and forgiveness for millions of lawbreaking illegal immigrants who used fake doc's and forgery to get jobs which should go to law-abiding Americans. No amnesty and deport all those who entered here illegally. And secure our borders. Mr President, wake up and realize that there are millions of UE Americans without work yet millions of illegals who have entered the country illegally last 20-30 years who are now holding down jobs obtained using fake ID doc's. Do you stand behind the average out of work Joe Citizen or are you a pawn to the big greedy exploiting corporations who prefer paying cheap wages to illegals who BTW also suck gov't benefits and drain the social security net, causing states like CA to be deeply in debt.

California has a 13 % official UE rate. The real U-6 UE rate is close to 25%. That means one in four Californians are either out of work or reduced to part time. CA also has 3 million illegals. 2 million of those are holding down non-agricultural laboring and blue collar jobs often obtained using fake/phony work documents. 2 Million foreign nationals have displaced 2 million UE California citizens. Are you the president of US or Mexico?
No other country allows 10-20 million foreign nationals to flood into a country illegally and steal away jobs from American Citizens.

I will not stand by and allow your administration to give jobs to illegals and stop ICE raids on companies employing illegals while millions of American Citizens are unemployed and starving. I stand
for the unemployed American Worker

Ariel view of 110-10 freeway junction near LA DWTN

Traffic

Los Angeles ranks high in 'commuter pain' study, but things could be worse | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times

Here is Ariel shot of junction of 10(Santa Monica)freeways and 110(Harbor freeways), looking southeast if U pan from bottom to top of pic. large building at left edge of pic(next to NE freeway quadrant loop)is LA Convention Center, South wing. The 110 harbor freeway runs north to south if you pan from bottom-left to top- right of pic. Santa Monica freeway 10 cuts across pic from west to east.

Notice all those low, squat buildings & structures crowding this pic. These units are either small sweat-shop businesses/other commercial units, or apts teeming with immigrants, including illegals. LA's large Illegal population is well represented in the Pico-Union district at NW freeway quadrant(W of 110, N of 10), and the Jefferson Park district(south of 10, E of 110)

Fullerton Illeg immig ICE raid -background

Illegal immigration: Immigration raid at Fullerton factory leads to 43 arrests - latimes.com

A short comment on ICE raid on a Fullerton factory in NE Orange County, CA. That area of Fullerton, on Raymond Ave off Riverside Freeway 91, is a large industrial region in NW OC. It is in fact OC's second largest industrial region after the Irvine industrial belt. I know for a fact that lots of firms there use illegal/green card/H1-b workers.
The entire area around there is packed with recent immigrants, which are concentrated in nearby Anaheim, Orange, South fullerton, parts of Placentia, La Palma, ect. A large immigrant community has sprung up in that part of OC. It is a large immigrant work force, and more skilled and educated than Los Angeles' impoverished immigrant population. I have been into quite a few industrial firms in OC, and most of them employ recent immigrant labor, including the large Alcoa-Fullerton metals fabrication plant. If not illegals they use low-skilled anchors/immigrant green carders. Rarely do you see native born Caucasians on the production floor in these firms, except in management/executive capacity. The nature of the work: processing metals or food, low-level warehousing, metals fabrication, lumber warehousing, furniture manufacturing, is such that these firms prefer docile, lowly paid, recent immigrants, mostly from Mex or central america, but also including Philippinos or other Asian immigrant groups.

NE OC dosen't have nearly the extent of illegal alien sweatshop operations as parts of Central and east LA however. Los Angeles area has plenty of small & medium sweatshop factories, some them barely above shoplevel, and most of them employing a largely illegal/green card labor workforce. These sweatshops are concentrated in East San Fernando Valley, dwtn area of La(garment district),east LA, south LA/Vernon area, or along Alameda Corridor. These are usually small/mid-sized processing shops. The work is grimy and tedious, and these firms are usually located in such dismal ghettoish, grimy areas of LA that the owners can escape inquisitive state labor investigators, and get away with using illegal labor. Google Vernon Overhill Farms ICE raid, a 2009 raid on a food processing plant. That is a fairly large firm, but there are 10,000+ firms large, med, and small, similar to Overhill Farms, employing predominantly illegals & green CARD Immigrants.

ICE would run into political problems in LA if they really went after all the LA firms using illegals, as these shops are deeply imbedded in LA's impoverished communities, and are protected by the LA political establishment. Ice barely got away with the Vernon raid, as there were lots of howls and screams from the LA activists, ACLU,and immgrant rights lawyers. There will not be any more ICE raids in LA till either Obama leaves office, Republicans get heavy majorities in congress and/or CA turns majority Republican, an unlikely event.
