Ariel view of 110-10 freeway junction near LA DWTN

Traffic

Los Angeles ranks high in 'commuter pain' study, but things could be worse | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times

Here is Ariel shot of junction of 10(Santa Monica)freeways and 110(Harbor freeways), looking southeast if U pan from bottom to top of pic. large building at left edge of pic(next to NE freeway quadrant loop)is LA Convention Center, South wing. The 110 harbor freeway runs north to south if you pan from bottom-left to top- right of pic. Santa Monica freeway 10 cuts across pic from west to east.

Notice all those low, squat buildings & structures crowding this pic. These units are either small sweat-shop businesses/other commercial units, or apts teeming with immigrants, including illegals. LA's large Illegal population is well represented in the Pico-Union district at NW freeway quadrant(W of 110, N of 10), and the Jefferson Park district(south of 10, E of 110)
