Suspects in Lynwood double murders, OC sexual assaults caught in Mexico,

Suspects in Lynwood double homicide, O.C. sexual assaults caught in Mexico, FBI says | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times

"A man charged with a double homicide in Lynwood, and another suspect charged with two attempted sexual assaults in Laguna Nigel, have been returned to authorities in California after they were captured in Mexico, the FBI said Monday. Lynwood murder suspect Eduardo Gilbert Nevarez. Eduardo Gilbert Nevarez was charged by authorities in the March 2001 Lynwood slayings and was also charged with parole violation after serving time in California state prison for distributing narcotics, according to the FBI. Mexican law enforcement authorities, working with the bureau, captured Nevarez and deported him June 9."

"Daniel Morales fled to Mexico after he allegedly broke into the Laguna Nigel home of a female relative in March 2004 and attacked her and a female child, the FBI said. Authorities suspected that Morales had fled to Mexico after he was charged in Orange County with attempted rape and sodomy of the adult victim and forcible lewd acts on a minor for the assault against the child, according to the FBI. Morales was captured in Mexicali and returned to California on June 15."

MY COMMENTS:

Lynwood murderer Nevaris was able to evade capture for 9 years before he was apprehended by Mex authorities and brought back to US for trial. Morales the rapist evaded capture in Mex for 6 years. These are just two samples of Mexican criminal felons who fled back to their home countries to escape US criminal capture and prosecution.

There has been this ongoing problem over last 3 decades of several hundred thousand, and perhaps as many as a million, criminally-oriented illegals from Mexico and other Latin American countries(OTM) entering US illegally, committing a crime(s), and escaping consequences by fleeing back to their home country of origin, usually Mexicans fleeing back to Mexico.

And not just for violent crimes. Many Mexican/OTM illegals who have committed non- capital but equally serious crimes such as ID theft, auto insurance fraud, ID doc fraud, drug-related offenses, Re fraud, and property theft, have escaped indictment in US by fleeing back to Mexico. These criminal aliens ,after a year or several years, often attempt to re-enter US, hoping that the heat passes.

How many of these have been apprehended in Mexico, and returned to US for prosecution,is unknown but my guess is that except for serious capital offenses the vast majority of Mexicans/OTM's who committed lessor offenses, mainly for financial gain( E.G.,by defrauding CA/US welfare benefits system via ID doc fraud), have escaped capture and are still living it up in their rancheras, perhaps on the loot they were able to steal and defraud from a gullible CA welfare/insurance payout system, and remitted back to Mexico.
