My comments:

Here's the reality of Montebello (Bello for short). Bello is a rather dismal forgettable bland burg located 15 miles directly east of LA DWTN. It is sited close to the west bank of the San Gabriel/Rio Hondo River. The oldest sections of the city are likely sited on bluffs & hills overlooking the river flood plain. This is where much of the aging factory/ commercial parks are sited. 1/2 of the city is the largely commercialized/industrialized section south of Olympic/Whittier Blvds. This south leg abuts City of Commerce along the western margin and is largely lower-working/laboring class. This mixed industrail/ residential zone is also heavily populated by recent latino immgrants. Ghettoized East LA jabs bello at it's NW margin, and both cities share the near 100% latinoized Whittier Blvd , which is a major east-west regional LA traffic artery, 100 % third world thoroughfare, and well known for latino/cholo cruising events. There is nothing notewothy in Bello.

Farther north near 60 fwy there are scattered areas of somewhat tidy suburban tract homes on Bello's hills, which are plainly visible as you travel along freeway 60 out of LA Dwtn. There is also a few industrail areas sited off 60 fwy. Bello never has been the Beverly Hills of East/SE LA, as latimes mistakenly attributes to it. It has always been the way it is today. Just another map color zone among a 100 or so map colors on an LA thomas guide map. Another bland faceless LA exurb. Bello does have a large Chinese expat presence, as does much of the region north and west of it, but it also is adjacent to East LA and also close to the grimy LA ghettos which encroach it from the south and east. Much ghetto population outflow issues out of the grimy densely packed 3rd world Alameda Corrider( think Bell, Maywood, South Gate, Compton, ect). These cities contain large numbers of illegals/recent latino immigrants which swarm all over LA inner areas and increasingly into outer exurb areas like Bello.

NOTE: I have delivered many times to exurban Bello hilltop residentail areas. They remind me of Baldwin Hills & Silverlake District. All of them exclusive tidy exurban islands surrounded by grimy dank lowland ghettos like isolated celtic hilltop forts.

l also once delivered to a bello business establishment in a small bello commercial park. It was run by asian immigrant expats, and the operation reeked of a scam. It was some type of off- the- books business dealing with exports/ imports and/or a real estate boilerplate operation ( my recollections somewat hazy here). However, it reeked of a shady business scam as does entire corrupt Montebello city administration.

Illegal alien wars- a personal perspective part 2

My virulent stance against any and all reform of the immigration process grew out of my experiences and observations gleaned from 30+ years living and working in LA, where the results of 3 decades of US open border policies has resulted in LA becoming a vast ghettoized region packed with illegals and their gang-bangin offspring.

I have personally known of 100's of illegals/fake green carders who have gamed the US/CA welfare system and used their illegal status to commit felonies/ frauds and fled back to Mexico or Cent America to escape law enforcement. The border being a 2-hr drive from most points in SCal made this all the more easier.

Many of these illegals or fake greens carders were engaged as mules/couriers in the numerous SCal/LA drug cartel syndicates, which have been operating here in LA since the 80's. Many others were enrolled in auto insurance fraud rings, or medical frauds. Others were involved in warehouse looting rings or autotheft rings, and so on.
My estimation is that one in ten illegal-aliens, mostly males, were involved in some type of major felony scam/ fraud upon the system. Most illegals are law abiding to a point, but it takes 1 bad apple or ringleader to involve 10 other illegals in some type of criminal fraudulent scheme.

Why immigration reform is just another LA-type illegal alien fraud/scam foisted upon a gullible American public and equally gullible politicians.

Quite a few of those 11-20 million illegals asking for amnesty have used fake names and borrowed SS numbers. If DHS or other FED agency required a thorough lifetime background check as a condition for granting amnesty it would raise a howl from the ACLU, immigration rights advocates, and the scamming immigration lawyers as a big brother intrusion.

The real reason the immigration rights activists would resist a rigorous background check is that of 8 million illegals now working illegally in US, a likely majority are in fact using falsified ID's and borrowed/stolen SS numbers. That is why any proposal for comprehensive reform/ amnesty or whatnot is a shell game, a fraud and a scam on its face and upon the American people, just like the millions of scams committed by illegals in LA in the 80's and 90's, of which i have extensive knowledge.

This is just a small brief intro into the extensive ghettos ringing DWTN LA. Look at google map and pan around. Elysian park/Silver lake are extensively strewn with ghetto pockets. Westlake is near 100% ghetto. Boyle hts is completely overrun w/ illegals. Lincoln hts/ El Sereno are near 100% ghettos. South of dwtn is S.Central LA-90% ghetto. East LA is 80-90% ghettoized. I have only described 10% of the vast extent of LA City ghetto districts. A complete description would require a small book.

FOOTNOTE 1 Please enlarge and pan to Westlake District/Alvarado st/Rampart district. This area directly west of DWTN is the original focal point and hot spot for every illegal- alien scam activity. Back in 80's/90's every arriving illegal could go to Alvarado st/MacArthur Park and pick up any type of fake ID doc from 100's of fake doc mills. This is also the birthplace of MS-13 Matrucia gang. All within 1 mile of DWTN LA. Little has changed here and the illegals have since spread all over CA/USA but it all started here.

Maywood-a study in civic corruption

In the Line of Duty - L.A. Burb Mired in Guns, Gangs and South of the Border Politicos

Maywood, CA, is a tiny municipality located a half-dozen miles southeast of DWTN Los Angeles. It is literally surrounded by East/SE LA's large grimy industrial district and railroads, some of the grittiest drab districts in America.

The surrounding municipalities of Bell, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park,and Cudahy are some of the poorest, densest, heavily immigrant latino districts in US. Maywood is 96% latino, and 1/4 of its population is likely illegal. It has long been known that Maywood civic government is corrupt, a trait it shares with other cities along the Alameda railroad corridor such as South Gate, Vernon, Bell, Compton. ect.

There is plenty of info on google on Maywoods past/current civic corruption so i will not waste time repeating the details. Suffice to say that the very fact of having a large poor latino immigrant population base makes it easier for city politicians to practice civic corruption, mainly because the folks of Maywood are not firmly rooted in the community, most being recent transient immigrants. Besides, there seems to be a level of corruption tolerated by recent 3rd world incoming immigrants, maybe because they know no other system of governance, coming from 3th world corrupt authoritarian/dictatorship countries.

Lots of these small heavily immigrant cites in SE LA are infected by civic corruption, and even in some cases influenced/controlled by prominent LA gangs such as 18th street. A decade back there was a long LA TIMES article about the influence of narco/criminal syndicate gangs on Maywood/Cudahy/Bell city governments, and that city decisions were being exercised out of a few saloons and businesses owned/financed by cartel groups. I cannot find link to that article but have dug up a link to another 2007 article by LA Weekly on the massive civic/narco corruption of nearby Cudahy, which has the exact same demographics and is identical in nearly every respect to Maywood.

Not at all surprising as entire South LA County region has become so predominantly recent Hispanic immigrant( up to 50% illegals in some districts) that the city councils are likely drawn direct from the population, and bring with them the cultural traits of the foreign 3rd world immigrants: tolerance for civic corruption, bribery, payola, kickbacks, influence peddling, extortions, nepotism. These traits are not entirely unknown in cities run by native homegrown politicians(think Chicago), but it seems that there is an epidemic of rampant civic corruption in these small SE LA municipalities , which has been brought to light by Maywood dismantling it's entire city payroll and basically surrendering it's city operations to it's equally corrupt sister city, Bell.

MY COMMENTS:
The LA city council and LA Civic Leaders are complete hypocrites and bald- faced liars. They voted a boycott of Arizona but want to exempt red light cameras, which are operated by a Scottsdale Arizona firm. Reason: it is not about public safety:: it is about revenue generation.
A red light infraction is a $350-$400 infraction. Add traffic school and court processing fees and that ticket balloons up to around $500.
That is a big chunk of change which is portioned among local, county, and state agencies. Believe me it is not about public safety, it is about fee generation for increasingly broke LA region muncipalities( lots of LA County municipalities besides LA City have installed red light cameras)

It is all about fleecing the public. Take it from me as a 15 year veteran transport delivery driver. LA City is among the most aggressive cities in USA it come to collecting fees from traffic tickets, and that includes the LA Bureau OF Parking enforcement, the most fascist collection of jack-booted revenue collectors in America.

Business as usual in LA

Three suspected gang members were arrested after they allegedly opened fire on a car driven by an off-duty LAX airport police officer in unincorporated South Los Angeles, authorities said Monday. The officer had stopped at an intersection in the 1600 block of East Firestone Boulevard on Sunday afternoon when another vehicle pulled alongside.

One of the men shouted at the officer before firing two shots into the vehicle. The officer, who was not identified, suffered cuts to his head from broken glass but was not hit by any of the rounds. The attackers ,later ID'ed and arrested for attempted murder, were all known gang members, who's names are Efren Alcaraz, 24; Carlos Vasquez, 18; and Israel Garcia, 21.

Here is my own unbiased, uncensored, non-'PC' observations:

These are 3 illegal criminal aliens from Mexico and/ or Central America, or are anchor gangsta spawn of illegals. The Firestone district(zip 90001) where shooting occurred is one of the most blighted run-down illegal alien-infested ghettos in LA. It is located next to South Central LA and is actually an unincorporated half-industrial ragged strip informally called the Alameda corridor, and it is a haven for LA illegal-immigrant/gang criminal activity. That officer was off duty and presumably driving an unmarked vehicle so the 3 gangsta punks did not know that he was an off-duty LAX PO. If this was a shooting involving gang-to-gang car shooting or involving non-police officer(s)LA times would not have reported it, as this crap happens so much in wasted gang-infested LA that LAT will ignore this stuff most times, especially if it is deep in ghettoland.

I am looking at the LA Times excellent interactive homicide report with maps, which does an excellent jobs of compiling stats and pic's on all homicides since 2007. I do blast LA City & County a lot on my blog so i did a check on homicide frequencies for LA County. Lo and behold!! Homicide rates are actually, and shockingly, declining! In 2007 we had 939 homicides(war zone levels): in 2008 we had 880: 2009 we had 740: and in first 4 months of 2010 we have had 230
homicides, which extrapolates out to roughly 700 for all of 2010. However, summer likely sees rise in homicide levels so we will likely see levels in 2010 which exceed 2009. Also there seems to have been a dramatic surge last few weeks in LA homicides, with rates running at 60-70 per month.

Gruesome bloodbath day in LA

Today May 6th in LA there was an outbreak of murders, shootings, outrage, car wreaks, attempted shootings, a drug-Cartel kidnapping, a minor protest in dwtn LA, more shootings, ad nauseum.

With the city in deadly throes of a 20-25 % REAL U-6 UE rate, with the hot smoggy summer coming up, with contentious elections and political/ethnic anger building to white hot levels, anger, desperation on the streets and in financially BK suburbia, anger over oil spill, broke CA gov't, lying leftist-union looters in CA gov't ripping off taxpayers, public pensioners getting fat pensions while 25% of Californians are out of work or underemployed , and half of LA residents either dead broke, living off gov dole, or living hand to mouth, no wonder we get bad days such as this.

A bad day in LA is nothing out of ordinary as folks in this grim yellow-brownish, ghettoish, traffic-choked city of 4 million(10 million in LA County), deal with living in the most grimiest, smokiest, bleakest, ghettoized, illegal alien-infested metro in the US, with crime rates greater than even fearsome chicage(honest).

1. A gun battle erupted near Dockweiler State Beach on Thursday afternoon after reputed gang members came to the coast in a rented stretch Hummer limousine to celebrate so-called Hood Day, according to police. Two people were injured -- one hit by gunfire and another struck and dragged by the limo after it was riddled with bullet holes, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

2. A gunman walked up to a man at a crowded hamburger stand just south of downtown Los Angeles on Thursday and fatally shot him in the head, Los Angeles police said.

3. Authorities are looking for a man accused of shooting and injuring a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop Thursday in Lomita.

A man carrying an AK-47 rifle and a can of gasoline entered the Hawaiian Gardens home of his ex-girlfriend early Thursday and shot four family members -- Three of them fatally -- before being shot by a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputy, officials said. Included is video of that murderous rampage. Notice the drab ghettoized nature of that hood. Tiny gang-infested Hawaiian Gardens is just one of several hundred ghettoized communities in LA County


 

5. All but two northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley have been reopened after an L.A. County Sheriff's Department vehicle struck a stopped pickup truck, killing the woman inside, authorities said.

Four people were killed early Thursday when a sports car crashed near Van Nuys airport, police said.
The yellow 2007 Chevy Corvette was traveling at high speeds when it hit a guard rail on Roscoe Boulevard shortly after midnight, said Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department. The car skidded several hundred feet, crossed some railway tracks and came to rest upside down, he said.

7. GARDEN GROVE - Several men in black clothes with the word "POLICE" printed on them and driving a black Lincoln Navigator burst into the home of a Garden Grove businessman just before dawn and kidnapped him, authorities said. This is a drug cartel type kidnapping in orange county, but included in this list because it demonstrates that Mex border drug mafia activity has hit the former tidy suburb of garden grove, OC.

LA - crime central due to illegal immigration

This blogsite being mainly about the increasing ghettoization and decline of CA and especially LA into a 3rd world steaming craphole, i have put up some tidbits from LA times taken from todays headlines( April 12th), to point out the REAL LA, a city as dangerous and full of criminal/illegal alien spawned crime/gang activity as any city in America.

1."Two men were arrested after authorities found hundreds of marijuana plants and seeds in a remote section of Malibu Creek State Park in the Santa Monica Mountains, authorities said.Arturo Molina, 37, of Van Nuys and Victor Magana, 23, a Mexican national, were booked Sunday on suspicion of marijuana possession, possession of a concealed firearm, and destruction of plants and geological features.."

2." During a 3-car pileup on I-5 near Newhall which killed 5,including 4 kids, one of the cars involved was a suburban who's driver, Victor Jarillo, was arrested for allegedly driving without a license, and his passenger was taken into custody on suspicion of providing false information to officers, according to Lutz"

3. " A Car slammed into a police car parked alongside a freeway in Riverside at 5 am. The driver, Ochoa, was arrested and booked into Riverside County Jail on suspicion of felony drunk driving and driving without a license, according to the CHP"

4. "A woman carjacked the car of a good Samaritan nurse who had stopped to give aid to an accident victim. The nurse was dragged 60 feet in attempt to stop the carjacking. "

Two of these incidents were accidents involving unlicensed drivers. Either By coicidence or otherwise both were Hispanics, and 95% probability they were either (A) illegal aliens,(B),recent green card immigrants or(C)anchors of illegals. This raises a big question and problem:

How many unlicensed latino immigrant drivers are driving on the roadways here in the greater LA region?

We had two accidents involving unlicensed drivers in LA region just in one day, so we can extrapolate that there are at least 100,000 to a quarter million unlicensed drivers in the five listed Southern CA counties, and likely double that number without mandatory CA liability insurance. The vast majority in both cases are either illegals, green carders, or anchors, 95% of whom are Latinos from south of the border.

Summation: greater LA basin region including LA, Riverside, San Berdoo, Ventura, and Orange counties have approximately 10 million drivers. At least 1/2 million of these are driving without a license, expired license/registration, and without insurance, and vast majority of these are recent Hispanic immigrants including illegals, and anchors of illegals. LA Region has become a high-crime zone where illegals, green carders or anchors are willfully violating CA driving regulations, which has been the case for almost 3 decades during the great inflood of illegals into SCal and LA.

Short overview of how the illegal alien invasion begin in LA

Here in LA and SCal the illegal immigrant problem has been with us for 3 decades. It started in the late 70 early 80's and really picked up speed around the time of the first amnesty of 1986. The illegal alien problem was long confined to LA for 1st two decades and only went national at beginning of last decade(2000+). The general population and entire USA long ignored the illegal alien pressure cooker building up in LA and were not aware of the huge amt of scams and frauds pulled by the illegals here. For instance, every illegal who arrived in LA could go to Macarthur park just west of dwtn and get a fake phony green card, and millions did so.

The 'Mexican-ization' of LA has taken almost a third of a century, the first few waves occuring from late in the 70's but really becoming heavy in the 80's and 90's. By now LA region is so heavily latino immigrant that it is almost indistinguishable from any large city in Mexico.
You can go thru large parts of LA such as east San Fernando valley and south LA , drive 10 miles straight and only see latino immigrants and their slums. Huntington park and other cities in the large(200 sq mile) gritty LA River /Alameda corridor are 90 % latino immgrant slumzones.

In my home city of long beach everywhere you go you hear the blare of loudspeakers playing Mex/Latino music, and see Latinos having pinata/ beer parties on their front lawns or porches. The Latino immigrant influence is everywhere and reaches even into the few prosperous middle class LA suburbs . Every city and burg in LA has its latino dense apt tenement slumzone district.

The problems of illegal invasion from south of border have been ongoing for over 30 years and has caused a fundamental tranformation of LA basin into a largely 3rd world ghettoized zone. Anyone who drives all over greater LA can testify to this. This situation will not be remedied anytime soon.

If and when the CA and national welfare spigot runs out due to CA being bankrupt and the fed deficit spending getting out of control there will be harsh measures to cut out welfare to the huge impoverished poplulation in LA, which would include illegals and their anchors, who are a drain on CA's treasury.

OC may be even worse than LA inner city as the illegals and their smart-mouthed, unruly gangsta spawn have emmigrated and spread out all over Scal from their original lairs in inner LA, leaving only the most recent poorest humble docile immigrants left in the inner LA stews.
The OC suburbs are not safe, except for gated, guarded walled-in communities in which the diminishing OC middle/ upper classes huddle away from the hellish plebian mobs.
The PC'ed articles of the LA Time and OC reg regarding illegals and gang crimes are aided and abetted by the state of CA and even the Obama adm and congress who are now proposing amnesty for illegals, as they only want the votes to stay in power and it does not matter to them if LA/OC are becoming third world ghetto crapzones. Votes is what matters: just throw freebees at the howling 3rd world proletariat masses and keep them in line with state handouts and laker games.
It matters little to them if there is an illegal alien-spawned crime wave, with illegal-aliens & their devil spawn killing off each other, and even an occasional innocent bystander killed by stray bullets or hit by a drunken illegal. The Liberal Dems see it as small coin in exchange for getting the hispanic vote and maintaining their grip on power in CA and the US. It is all about power and control and no matter that CA has a 20-25% U-6 REAL UE RATE: the sufferings of the UE Americans are of little consequence to greedy power hungery liberal Dems as long as the Hispanics keep voting them in by throwing them the shamnesty bone .

Los angeles facing a bleak future-repost of a 2008 posting

I wrote this about what LA will look like in near future. Written in 2008 i am repeating it as most of my predictions have come to pass. It is short and made to be tongue in cheek but i choose not to dwell on LA's bad to much as it would fill a long book and likely put me in depression.

"There will be water rationing imposed in LA city/county/LB by this summer. Long beach already has restrictions on water use:
U can only water lawn 3 days of the week(Monday, Thursday, sat). No watering permitted from 9 to 4 . No driveway or sidewalk pressure spraying with water permitted.....
Just another in a host of problems faced in LA metro area which will get worse next several years. Cities/ State will reduce services, crime will spike, LA RE continues to fall, economy collapses, unemployment increases, good chance of an inner city race riot . LA is raising fees on everything to make up for budget shortfall, and cops will be aggressively ticketing drivers, more Red light cameras to steal $'s from citizens.....

La will be a bad place to reside in next several years unless U are a ghetto punk, illegal, gang banger, run a business operating in the black market such as salvage yard, a still employed municipal employee able to escape the budget axe, run a mom and pop donut shop or liquor store employing only relatives.

Also flourishing in bad times will be illegal- alien imported crime syndicate operations such as smuggling, drugs, pot growing, meth, money laundering, car theft rings insurance fray rings,all out of an abandoned gutted REO property in some LA dump such as bell, cudahy, maywood,sgate, vernon,hawthorne, lynwood, bellflower, norwalk, wilmigton, inglwwood, firstine compton,la puente, pacoima, san fernabdo, suncvalley, ect.


U will also escape the bad times if U are part of the 2% LA uberwealthy in some exclusive cocooned Westside enclave.
