Repost of my rather over the top polemic against the Dream Act, which would have opened the door to yet another illegal-alien wave

I have reposted, in abbreviated form, my original 2009 polemic against the Dream Act, when i was really mad about illegal immigration, having recently lost my job in late 2008. This post or variations of it have been e-mailed & faxed to my CA Senators, my Congress Rep, POTUS, and LA Times about a 100+ times , and re-blasted 4 times Yesterday Sept 20th, prior to today's Senate vote on the Dream Act. Both my traitorous CA Senators Boxer and Feinstien sponsored the Dream Act, and Boxer will hopefully pay for this with her defeat in NOV. Boxer has about a D- grade in her illegal immigration stance, and has voted against every bill which would strengthen our borders, strengthen E-verify ,and voted against every other bill to limit/restrict illegal immigration.

A short precise comment on dream act, cleaned up to put out in public posting

The Dream Act is nothing but another minority empowerment boondoggle which attempts to boost up a select minority group, in this case latino immigrants, who are the most uneducated & uneducatable class of immigrants to come into the US.
They soak up billions of taxpayer wasted dollars in free healthcare , education funds, welfare pmts, law enforcement and justice system resources, yet provide zero returns to the US in the form of an educated, skilled, productive class.

Dream Act is yet another Attempt to reward illegal alien lawbreaking by handing out amnesty to illegal’s kids. These kids have a 50% dropout rate in LA and often become lawbreaking gang-bangers, yet we are supposed to to give them amnesty so they can steal away jobs from the growing ranks of UE American citizens. The Liberal appeasing pro illegal-alien Democrats are in effect saying 'screw you unemployed American Citizens, we in Washington do not give a damn about you but want to give employment opportunities to millions of lawbreaking illegal nationals and their gang-banging children so they can crowd the increasingly scarce jobs market in a depression'.

Shame on the Congressional traitors who have decided to grant out freebies and citizenship privileges to illegal alien lawbreaking foreign nationals who steal away lower-level jobs from UE American Citizens, often by using fake phony ID’s

The dream act is a Trojan Horse which if passed would open the gates to another massive wave of illegals, chiefly by allowing the students granted citizenship status to bring in all their families and extended relatives. It is just a sneaky backdoor attempt to grant amnesty to millions of illegals illegals.'

How Big Labor moved toward a pro-illegal- alien agenda

This is shortened repost of an article by Numbers USA, and i wish to give them full credit for this post:

Reid immigration flip followed labor's flip on immigration - Washington Times

How the U.S. labor movement adopted a pro-illegal alien/pro-illegal immigration stance, against the best interests of U.S. workers. Looks as if it is simply a matter of politics: they cannot win unless they get the Hispanic vote, and getting hispanic votes means supporting appeasement of illegals, and open borders illegal immigration.

"By 1993, unions were already beginning to target politicians who labor believed to be “anti-immigrant.” Union writer Randy Shaw writes that in 1999 the SEIU held its convention in Los Angeles where UNITE HERE President John Wilhelm and SEIU Executive Vice President Eliseo Medina worked to change the AFL-CIO immigration policy at the time, proposing immigration amnesty...

"According to 2007 Congressional testimony by Center for Immigration Studies board member Cornell economist Vernon Briggs:

" At its 1993 Convention, the AFL-CIO drastically reversed itself from it past course. It passed a resolution that praised the role that immigrants have played in building the nation. It proceeded to demonize unidentified critics of immigration reform especially critics of illegal immigration (which by this time was a national issue again despite IRCA). It then called upon local unions to develop programs to address the special needs of immigrant members and potential members. Clearly, a new immigration position was emerging within the leadership of the AFL-CIO."

Union leaders previously known before the early ‘90’s for standing against illegal immigration figured their sinking membership numbers could be improved if amnesty was given to illegal immigrants who could be easily organized

"prior to the late 1980s, the labor movement either directly instigated or strongly supported every legislative initiative enacted by Congress to restrict immigration and to enforce its policy provisions."

"In February 2000 the Executive Council of the American Federation of Labor—Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) announced it was changing its historic position. It would now support expanded immigration, lenient enforcement of immigration laws and the legislative agenda of immigrant advocacy groups. Subsequently, AFL-CIO officials publicly explained that the organization was now “championing immigrant rights as a strategic move to make immigrants more enthusiastic about joining unions.”

By 1999, organized labor officially changed their immigration policy:

'At the October 1999 AFL-CIO convention, the pro-immigrant element made its move from the convention floor. Unions representing janitors, garment workers, hotel workers and restaurant workers argued that the labor movement needed to abandon its past and embrace immigrant causes if it is to survive. They sought to end the use of employer sanctions and they sought to enact another mass amnesty for those who had entered illegally since the last general amnesty in 1986.'

'To avoid a public confrontation, the issue was deferred until the AFL-CIO Executive Council could take up the issue in February 2000. It did so and following that meeting it announced that it would seek to have the employer sanctions provision of IRCA repealed and that it would fight for another general amnesty for most of the millions of illegal immigrants in the country at the time. At the leadership level, at least, organized labor chose to become a supporter of the immigrant agenda even if that agenda imperiled the economic well-being of vast numbers of the American work force.'

'Progressive' CA politicians, far left unions , and the Hispanic vote. Why CA Dem politicians love illegals flooding into CA

If U wonder why the CA and the Feds allow continued dumping of illegals into SoCal and LA and nothing is done about it, the answer is entirely political.

The Liberal factions which run CA deliberately want as many illegals and their anchor spawn jammed into CA for one reason: POWER. They want and need the votes of the Hispanics and it matters little to them if much of SCal/LA have become vast illegal-alien spawned ghettos infested with illegal-alien spawned gangs and graffiti..

The leftist ,radical 'progressive' state employee public sector unions and their congressional puppets have caused the bankruptcy of Ca., They only stay in power because they have allowed the massive infiltration of illegals into Ca in order to court the hispanic vote, which allows the Sacto/San Francisco-based leftist progressives & state public sector unions in power to stay in power, dominate CA politics and maintain their inflated pensions, which are a prime reason that CA is reeling and bankrupt.

At election time as if on cue watch Boxer, Pelosi Feinstein, and other northern CA-based 'progressive' politicians make their twice a year forays into LA to slavishly lick the boots of the hispanic voters.

Amnesty is nothing but a bone to throw at the Hispanic voters to get them to vote democrat and keep the northern CA-based liberal Dems in power so they can keep on plundering CA taxpayers in order to pay the inflated union pensions and welfare handouts to the vast impoverished LA plebians, mosty illegals and their spawn.

A short overview of LA's few scenic areas, and the effects of massive illegal invasion upon them

Facebook | Stand With California (and Against Illegal Immigration)

CA is indeed has beautiful scenery but they are way out of LA. For me personally the scenery starts north of lancaster , past Santa Clarita or past Ventura . Or to be more precise you leave the official la ghetto basin region when you le...ave Sylmar northbound on the 5 freeway , or leave Victorville northeast on the 15, or leave Oxnard NW on the 101. Within LA itself there are isolated pockets of scenery here and there. Even in the ghettos i have found isolated tiny pockets of scenery.

There is this nice lake hidden underneath the overpasses at junction of 5, 60 and 101 freeway, called Hollenbeck lake. It is located deep in the extremely ghettoized district of Boyle Hts just east of LA DWTN. Very few know about it and few go there because it is deep in LA barrio ghettoland. and difficult to get to.
LA History & Science Musuem could be a scenic area if it was not surrounded by LA S Central ghetto.
Santa Monica bluffs could be a nice spot if the SM homeless did not spoil it. Academy Park near dodger stadium is a scenic and cool spot but overrun by illegals. MacArthur park was once a nice lake eons ago but has long since been overrun and ruined my massive illegal/gang influxes into Westlake district.

Echo park lake would be a sparking oasis near LA DWTN if it was not surrounded by ,or close to, the illegal-alien infested slums of Echo Park district, Westlake, rampart, Alvarado st., and the generally decrepit slummified strip running north/ and south along Glendale blvd off the 110/ hollywood freeway.

L.A. union members, activists to caravan to Arizona to protest immigration law - latimes.com

L.A. union members, activists to caravan to Arizona to protest immigration law - latimes.com

"As a judge weighs whether to halt Arizona's controversial immigration law
( Judge Bolton did strike down the most important sections of SB1070 on Wed.,July 28th), hundreds of Los Angeles City/County union members and activists are planning a bus caravan to Phoenix on Thursday — the day the law is set to take effect."

"More than 550 people plan to ride on 11 buses to Arizona to stage a protest and launch a partnership with Arizona groups to boost voter registration. During the one-day trip, sponsored by the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, participants will meet with Phoenix Police Chief Jack Harris, march to the state Capitol and hold a vigil. The participants represent 32 unions."

MY COMMENTS:

I am an LA County property owner who pays taxes to the County. I also support AZ and SB 1070. My taxes(and the taxpayers of LA & CA) are paying the wages of LA County Public employee unions who are sponsoring & funding ARIZONA bus trips for pro-illegal alien and anti-SB 1070 activists. I cannot nor will not abide this and will not pay any more taxes to LA County. I therefore will withhold or delay as long as possible property tax payments to The LA County Assessors Office, as a protest against LA County for allowing their public employee union members to engage in political actions which i oppose vehemently. This letter will be transmitted all over the internet via my blogsite, twitter and facebook, and sent to pertinent CA Government agencies and officials.

Fleeing Phoenix out of fear of immigration law

I just posted a reply to this LA Times knee-jerk article about the sufferings of local AZ businesses, due to Arizona's enforcement of FED LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS against illegal immigration. Look for the byline DEGOBOY

Fleeing Phoenix out of fear of immigration law

Removing illegals from a state or neighborhood would not have much effect upon the already battered dismal economy. Arizona's UE rate matches or exceeds the 9.7% nationwide UE rate, and the states economy was already being shattered by plummeting RE values way before SB 1070 took effect.

Here in CA the economy went into recession starting in late 2007 and really nosedived in Sept/Oct 2008. CA has 3 million illegals and likely 10-15 million legalized green card immigrants. Having this huge population of immigrants did not prevent CA from having a 12.7 % UE rate(Real U-6 UE rate is 20-25%) or having plummeting RE values. The economy tanked regardless of CA's large 'industrious' immigrant population.

Removing large numbers of illegals from any given ghettoized LA hood heavily impacted by illegals, such as lennox, Wilmington, Maywood, Jefferson park, Pico-Union, Rampart, Boyle Hts, ect. would not effect these already severely blighted hoods one bit.

Yes, some local businesses which set up in these hoods will suffer and even close but so what! We are seeing a nationwide epidemic of business bankrupties due to this severe recession. LA Times tear-jerking article about local shops being effected by Arizona's SB 1070 seems to be a case of special pleading against enforcing our Federal & State immigration laws.

Judicial Watch Joins AZ Legal Battle! | Judicial Watch

Judicial Watch Joins AZ Legal Battle! | Judicial Watch

I have posted a statement from JW, edited for brevity, on their Motion to intervene(MTI). I was a keen follower and contributor of their organization back in the late 90's when they were acting as watchdog and legal combatant against the corrupt, scandal-tainted Clinton administration. Judicial Watch is one of the best conservative-oriented legal organizations in America, and a precious counterweight to the legions of Dem/leftist activist attorneys in the Obama Administration.

Here is the JW MTI:

"This week, Judicial Watch initiated perhaps the most important piece of litigation in its 16-year history...

"On Thursday, we filed a “Motion to Intervene” on behalf of Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce, author of Arizona’s new illegal immigration law SB 1070, in the Obama Justice Department lawsuit challenging the law, which is set to take effect on July 29.."
"So why is the Obama White House so desperate to kill this law? Because Obama knows if this law is allowed to stand, other states will follow Arizona’s lead. (In fact, a few states have already gotten a head start.) The federal government must then assume its constitutional responsibility to secure the border and enforce the law. And that is something President Obama is loath to do....

"So here we are, alongside Senator Pearce, head to head against the Obama White House in the nation’s most controversial, most heated and most significant legal battle. Here’s an excerpt from our court filing explaining why Judicial Watch is representing Senator Pearce....who was the chief sponsor of SB 1070 and voted in favor of its passage. Senator Pearce’s efforts came to fruition when Governor Brewer signed SB 1070 and HB 2762 into law. As the author and driving force behind the enactment of SB 1070, Senator Pearce has the right to defend it..."

"And here’s a statement from Senator Pearce explaining why he is undertaking this fight with Judicial Watch:

The purpose of SB 1070 is to protect the citizens of Arizona from the devastating and deadly impact of rampant illegal immigration. And it is outrageous that the Obama administration would attack Arizona for simply protecting its own citizens, especially when it has failed so miserably to do its constitutional duty and secure the border. This is a legal battle of epic proportions. As a Senator in a state on the frontlines, I see firsthand the damage being done to our state and our country. What happens here in Arizona will impact every state in the country interested in protecting its citizens by enforcing the rule of law. We are a nation of laws. We must have the courage — the fortitude — to enforce, with compassion but without apology, those laws that protect the integrity of our borders and the rights of our lawful citizens..."

"Look, here’s the bottom line: This is a fight between those who want to enforce the law and those who do not. We are proud to stand with Arizona State Sen. Pearce, Governor Brewer and the citizens of Arizona in support of the rule of law...
Most Americans stand with rule of law on the issue of illegal immigration enforcement..."

"The legal battle is on, and this is a fight we can win."

Southern California cities which support Arizona and SB 1070 #2

<

Updated list of 13 SoCal cities supporting Arizona are marked by yellow pins. Below is interactive google map to zoom in and get more info on these cities.(note: Costa Mesa Pin is faded but is located between RSM and City of Orange)

So far I count thirteen Southern California cities in five counties, which have passed resolutions supporting Arizona and SB 1070 and/or passed Rule of law Resolutions. I put down estimated population next to each city, based on latest available stats.

In Riverside County:
Hemet(75,000)
lake Elsinore(50,000)
Menifee(78,000)
temecula(102,000)

Canyon lake(13,000)
Norco(52,000)

In Orange County:
Costa Mesa(116,000)
City of Orange(141,000)
Yorba Linda(80,000)
Rancho Santa Margarita(49,000)

In LA County:
Lancaster 141,000

in San Bernardino County:
Highland-52,000

In San Diego County:
Escondito- 128,000

These cities vary in population, economic/industrial strength, demographic makeup, and income/affluence levels; from the relatively affluent such as Yorba Linda and RSM:to medium income/affuence range(Orange,Costa Mesa,Temecula: to a relatively lower range of income levels (lancaster, Hemet, Menifee, lake Elsinore). The last named cities all have been severely hard-hit from the nearly 3-yr ongoing great recession, with high unemployment and greatly fallen RE values.

Updated list; I just added Highland, Escondito,Canyon lake, and Norco to the list to make it a total of 13 CA cities(and counting)supporting AZ and SB1070. By end of year I expect at least 10 more SoCal cities to join these 13.

likely candidates:
Palmdale, Santa Clarita,Perris,Rancho Mirage,Murrieta,Redlands,coachella, Yucapia, Colton,Chino/Chino hills,Victorville, Hesperia,Newhall,Saugus,lake forest, San Juan Capistrano,San Clemente

I am hoping that more SCal cities join in supporting Arizona's stand against illegal immigration. The city councils of any city contemplating ROL resolutions and/or supporting Arizona SB 1070 resolutions must brace for pro-illegal alien activists, often bussed in, who have a major presence here in SCal/ greater LA Region, due to our overwhelming latino immigrant population. I suspect that quite often the city councils and mayor of most SCal cities cringe at defying the loud, vociferous agitations of the illegal-alien activist groups, who are unfortunately well-funded by unions and immigrant rights attorneys, and encouraged by the CA leftist Politicians.

hurray for Lancaster voting to becoming 1st LA County city to pass ROL resolution

The AV News Lancaster City Council

Hurray for Lancaster for voting to become first LA County municipality to pass a rule of law resolution. Lancaster is in the high desert and located at farthest northern reaches of the great LA megalopolis. It is the northernmost large municipality in LA County. It has been particularly hit hard by this severe recession and the great RE meltdown, with foreclosures scattered all over this large spread-out desert sagebrush community.

I will later add more extensive postings regarding Lancaster's decision to become a rule of law city and why city leaders took this step. Also my personal views on lancaster, derived fron taking 100+ trips out there as a former logistics transport driver.

A short quick closing comment about lancaster. There is lots of vast empty space out there, with large lots and many isolated homesteads sited way off the beaten path. There is a spirit of rugged 'desert rat' individualty in lancaster, akin to Arizona's open empty desert spaces, which breeds tough folks who do not like freeloaders and parasitic government welfare grovelers, though lancaster has its share of them in the more densely populated central city areas. Maybe that's why lancaster voted to pass the ROL resolution and to show support for Arizona.

Illegal alien wars -my own perpective- part 3

I have been in this battle against illegal immigration since before 2000. I date my anti-illegal stance to the great late George Putnam, the legendary patriotic journalist who aired 2 hrs during lunch on AM 870 in late 90's. He was my inspiration and nourishment in my conversion to a decided anti-illegel stance.

One of George's frequent guests was a fiery, outspoken LA South- Central resident named Terry Anderson who just recently passed away, a sad loss for the anti-illegal immigation movement. Terry would rage against the effects of the illegal alien inundation upon South Central LA in no uncertain terms, how illegals were driving African-Americans out of the trades by lowering wages, and the complete trashing of SCentral by the invading illegals.

I used to listen regularly to George Putman weekdays on my car radio while i was doing my delivery duties in West LA in late 90's. He had very few listeners back then, as no one took illegal immigration very seriously during those generally prosperous pre-2000 years, and it was mostly an LA problem back then. George was actually a few years ahead of the curve and at a very advanced age(he was in his 80''s).
Note that entire USA did not really get on the anti-illegal bandwagon until the first recession of 2001-2003, and the anti-illegal immigration movement really picked up speed/ gained ground during this period. The influential John & Ken AM 640 talk radio show(2-7 weekdays), were among those who took up the cudgel.
( I sent them a dozen or so faxes/letters in 2003 to give them a prod).

George Putman passed away at age 94 on Sept 12, 2008, near his Chino hills ranch home. Very few in MSM took notice of the passing away of this legendary influential TV/radio journalist & newscaster, as he had become very conservative in his views in his later years, pretty much a reactionary, though he was in fact a lifelong Democrat. But If he was still alive today he would be a combative spokesman against the illegal invasion, would be in the thick of the battle, and his outspoken fiery, uncompromising stance combined with his weighty experience in world/US affairs would add an enormous asset to the anti-illegal-immigrant movement.

Rowdy street mobs mar lakers victory

http://www.latimes.com/media/photo/2010-06/54401471.jpg

I saw the Channel 9 local coverage of the post game street celebrations in Los Angeles dwtn following the Lakers victory over the Celtics in game 7 of NBA championship. LA civic leaders/Mayor were determined to suppress the rowdy rioters who have wreaked havoc following previous laker championships, and they followed thru by putting LAPD on tactical alert and turning the entire DWTN area around Staples Center into an armed police camp with 1/4 of entire LAPD out in force. The plan was to break up the mobs and confine then into manageable smaller groups separated by lines of police squadrons, and close off certain streets.

It was determined to move the gathering mobs along/push them out of staples area using motorcycle cops ,horse patrols, as well as foot patrols. The mob did move, but along the way were still able to trash cars, throw rocks & bottles at police, get into fights, and harrass exiting game attendies. But the strategy of moving the mobs along, and keep the mobs groups separated basically worked as planned.

The LAPD had learned much from previous Laker victory riots, and were not going to allow the world to witness the spectacle of a great American city being trashed by a bunch of roudy neigborhood ghetto hoodlums, most of whom were unruly anchor brats of the huge illegal-alien population ringing dwtn. What most folks do not realize is that the third world ilegal alien-infested ghettos are just several blocks from staples center(on other side of 110 and 10 freeways). LA City already has an image problem, being associated with gangs, graffiti, and bullet-sprayed ghettos swarming with illegals and their unruly anchors. The efforts to stamp out the rowdy LA victory celebrations were an exercise in damage control, to throw a potemkin face on the ghettoish nature of LA.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2010/06/2-officers-hurt-in-los-angeles-lakers-victory-clashes-downtown-property-damaged.html

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Staples+Center,+Los+Angeles,+L+A,+CA&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=26.258506,79.013672&ie=UTF8&hq=staples+center&hnear=Los+Angeles,+California&ll=34.035235,-118.255291&spn=0.043957,0.077162&z=14

Please use Google Maps: type 'STAPLES CENTER LA', and note the areas west of 110 (Harbor Freeway) and south of 10 freeway(Santa Monica Freeway). These are some of the densest, poorest, 3rd world gutted districts in LA City, and are packed with illegals and their unruly gang- bangin anchors. It is a couple blocks walk from these illegal alien-packed districts( a quick trot across the freeway separators), and into staples center area. Thus the inundations of rioter-thug-mobs after Laker championship wins.

Day-labor crackdown in Redondo Beach is legal, appeals court rules

Day-labor crackdown in Redondo Beach is legal, appeals court rules | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times

"A federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that Redondo Beach city authorities are entitled to prohibit people from soliciting work or money by approaching motorists in the street. The 2-1 ruling by a panel of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals overturns a lower-court opinion that barring street solicitation interferes with individuals’ 1st and 4th Amendment rights unless alternative sites are identified where the solicitors can speak and assemble freely. Redondo Beach city leaders were sued by the National Day Laborer Organizing Network after they passed an ordinance in 2004 prohibiting solicitors from city streets. The appeals court decision that cities are justified in taking such steps to prevent safety hazards and traffic disruptions could encourage other municipalities to ban solicitation on their streets and highways."

Redondo Beach has been particularly aggressive in cracking down on day laborers.

This little-publicized decision by the normally leftist-leaning 9th circuit court may turn out to have far reaching effects upon local CA cities ability to pass ordinances banning day laborers from clogging and harrassing shoppers/motorists at home depots. BTW Redondo Beach is a medium-sized beach front municipality located in the South Bay region in LA county.
